Godlis Photo on Joey Ramone's New Album
It's been 11 years since Ramones lead singer Joey
left the Bowery music scene, but his presence has
never faded away; his new album "Ya Know?" will be
in store in two weeks, and news is, the album cover
is photo of Joey by one and only Punk Photographer
Godlis.
You could also see it on Amazon already, that the album cover
is the partial image of original photo, only showing
torn-up denim and the mic stand; however, there
is no doubt these belong to the iconic figure of
NY Punk scene.
BTW, the original photo shot by Godlis look like this:
As you can see, the original photo is a great artwork itself;
can't cook a good meal without good ingredient.
And the album sounds good as well, with all
that great musicians such as Joan Jett, Richie Ramone,
Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick and members from
Dictators and Plasmatics... and Joey's brother
Mickey Leigh as executive producer.
