John Holmstrom, interview on the movie set
East Village NYC, especially CBGB, is the place where
John Holmstrom has a lot of memories with. He's been
living in the area since 70s, and back then, CBGB was
the epicenter of this new style of music; John wanted so bad
to be the one to tell the rest of the world what this new music
was about, so he made a magazine about the scene, and
named it PUNK. Rest is history.
Now the famous punk club is gone, but the movie about the
punk-era CBGB is on its way, and you'll see above story
would be a part of the story.
