Photographers Updates

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, worldwide; so many activities and businesses are restricted, events and trade shows been canceled due to the situation. Fortunately, 3 photographers we work with in licensing are doing well, and sent us some updates on how they spend their time these days.

Roberta exhibited at Photo London, a large scale annual fair of photography originally planned to be held at Somerset House in May, with thousands of photos from all over the world and events with photographers. However the physical fair was replaced by Photo London Digital, the first ever international online photography fair. So naturally her trip to London was cancelled and only the photos went to London (virtually)...!

The actual exhibition period was October, but you can still visit the online gallery and check Roberta's photo:

Andrew Maclear

Andrew lives in a small town in Mallorca, Spain; "Here we are having all kinds of new lockdowns etc etc etc. But the situation in Europe is complex everywhere", he said in his recent mail. And he also sent us a self portrait of himself; "Here we are all wearing masks too ... even though it's an island and not many people !"

These days he has been adding many photos to his Instagram; you could check those images, old and new, and full of variety, from the link below.

SHOTS IN THE DARK, a short film about Godlis was shown at the NY Film Festival in October, where, as explained in the previous entry, he has been working as official photographer for the festival. And this too, due to the situation, had some unique ways to watch the movie; there were virtual viewing available for programs, so viewers could watch them at home. And also there were a couple open-air screening; one was on the street of downtown New York, right in front of where the legendary live music venue CBGB used to be, and basically where this film was "shot". Godlis, and Kloster brothers who produced this amazing 7 min. short, were all present, and looks like the screening was very successful with full of audience!

And also drive-in screening was held in Brooklyn as a part of festival; looks like the night was a bit wet from the rain, but with the number of honks we could hear in one of Instagram clip below, we bet the audience had a good time!
