We got another newsletter from John Holmstrom, with another episode of JOE comic strip:
"If you know your comics and cartoons, you’ll probably notice that this strip was inspired by Tex Avery, “The King of Cartoons”"
he explains in the newsletter. Avery was one of the greatest cartoon directors who created Bugs Bunny and Duffy Duck.
Come to think, we could see certain influence in many of John's comic strip and illustration, like this one:
Or something like this!
Both of them looks very animated and as if start moving like Avery's cartoon!
Obviously the second one is the parody of that famous movie, nice to look at side by side with the original...!
