Two exhibits updates
We have some updates on two punk exhibitions we reported earlier.

Images from PV of Joey Saves by Zambonis, featuring animated Ramones playing on the ice, surreal.
John Holmstrom of PUNK Magazine announced in his latest newsletter that the punk art exhibit at Metropolis Vintage clothing store will have a closing event on Saturday July 6th.
Cartoon videos at 2 in the afternoon: over 20 different short videos and cartoons, including John san's work and above mentioned Joey Saves, will be on screen,
They also have short documentary by Aysha Quinn, about Joey Ramone's final years.

Drawing of the Ramones descending the basement, a tribute to the Ramones and Marcel DuChamp.
We could say that DuChamp, the father of contemporary art, was the original punk artists!
Cartoon Jam at 4 pm: another, and final session will be held and anyone who wants to draw can join.
The finished drawings from earlier sessions are available for sale at the auctions page (below link), and just as Joey Ramone Birthday Bash, all the proceeds are going to the Joey Ramone Lymphoma Research Foundation:

"Over $100,000 has been raised to date by the Birthday Bash events! Next: $200,000!"
Meanwhile the other exhibit PUNK'S NOT DEAD has been extended by popular demand until the end of summer; Godlis san forwarded us some short video clips, which were also posted on his Instagram:
By the way, a photo that Godlis san took back in 1977 is featured in the article of a popular online column Who Ate Where:

Talking Heads bassist Tina Weymouth on left, David Byrne on right
"A social history of the city, told entirely through its restaurants", Who Ate Where consists mainly of photographs of celebrities taken at restaurants and cafes in New York City. Godlis san's photo of the band Talking Heads taken at the restaurant named Locale has been used in the article at the below link.
Both David Byrne and Tina Weymouth look so young in this photo!
