Punk Magazine Celebrates its 50th Anniversary!!
Punk Magazine established its office in downtown New York in late November 1975. It began interviewing Lou Reed, the godfather of punk, and the original punk band, the Ramones. The first issue featuring these articles was released the following January 1976.
To coincide with the 50th anniversary of Punk Magazine's launch, an exhibition titled “50 YEARS OF PUNK” will be held at New York's Ki Smith Gallery starting this month on the 28th!
An opening party will be held on November 28th, and the closing on January 11th, none other than Editor-in-Chief John's birthday! This will likely be a more memorable
birthday than the one he celebrated in Oklahoma a few years back, or even the one he celebrated there in same place back in 1978!
Furthermore, during the time of the exhibition, ten photographs originally published in Punk Magazine will be sold as high-quality lithographs. And get this—a new issue of Punk Magazine is also scheduled for release!
It looks like it's going to be a hot 50th anniversary for Punk Magazine!!
