Tribeca Film Festival
The annual NY Tribeca Film Festival has been held
over the last weekend of April; NY natives Godlis,
Roberta Bayley and John Holmstrom have been taking
some parts in the movies.
Mandy Stein's "Burning Down the House", her 2nd documentary
depicting NY Punk scene of late 70s was featuring many
photos of Godlis and Roberta, as well as the covers of
PUNK Magazine, and Godlis was also interviewed in the film.
"Blank City", which shared its theme with Godlis' photo book
"No Wave: Post-Punk. Underground. New York. 1976-1980" came out
last year ; the film was using many photos by him.
We look forward to seeing these movies at the theater in Japan soon.
