Everlasting smile
Photographer Godlis has been photographing
downtown scene of New York and people there,
that have been remain somewhat unchanged
since he moved in the East Village in 70s.
Suze Rotolo was one of those people in the Village,
and you can see her photos along with a little
story of how Godlis shot these photos (shown above right)
in his recent photo-log
Rotolo was Bob Dylan's girlfriend back in
60s, appearing on the cover of the album
Freewheelin' (shown above left).
Dylan is the hero for Godlis, and Suze was the
muse for Dylan, so it seems it was naturally
exciting thing for Godlis to have such encounters
with her in the street, and then have a chance to
shoot some photographs without "bothering" her
in the different occasion.
